[If anyone's traveling in the vicinity of House 26, they might take notice of the little garden that's steadily been popping up outside over the past few weeks. Even if it's just another garden at first glance, today one of the residents is kneeling outside in the dirt attempting to change that. In the midst of a patch of what looks like mundane dasies, the round-faced, slightly dirty Neville is settled, brow furrowed in concentration, as he prods at the flowers with his newly-found wand. He's mumbling fiercely under his breath, presumably to the flowers themselves. Feel free to interrupt, Luceti. He won't bite.]

[If Neville suddenly gets the feeling of being watched, it's because Terra's off to the side. She was out for a stroll when his wand-work was noticed, and got her curious. At the moment, she's trying to decide whether or not to speak up, or leave him be. Social awkwardness at its finest.]

[Neville's eyes remained fixed on his work for a while longer, but a general unease has him peeking out into the the distance every so often. He spots Terra after she'd been watching him for a bit, hand clenching a bit more tightly around his wand.]

[Terra takes an instant step back, looking sheepish.]

Hello.

...I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle you.

[She glances down to the flowers.]

What were you doing?

It's all right. I was just trying to work a few charms, nothing very important. [Even though she'd apparently thought it was important enough to stop and watch for a while.] Are you familiar with the magic?

[She nods, seeing no point in denying it.]

Yes, though I don't use a wand for it. Does that mean you're from Hermione's world?

[He returns the nod, much less cautious once she mentions Hermione.] Yes, I am. Do you know her?

[A smile emerges at that question.]

She tutors me, at school. She's been a huge help, there. I don't think I would have gotten as far without her.

[There's a bit of extra warmth in his reply] I know the feeling. She's really quite patient when it comes to helping others.

[A quick nod to that, then a sheepish expression.]

Oh, I'm sorry. I should have introduced myself, by now. My name is Terra.

It's a pleasure to meet you, Terra! [He reaches out to shake her hand; please pardon the dirty palms] I'm Neville.

[Terra doesn't mind the dirty palms; nothing a little soap later won't fix.]

[She peers at his flowers again.]

What kind of charms were you trying to do, if you don't mind me asking?

[Aww, she gets instant points for her hands-on attitude!] I'm trying to make these flowers closer to some breeds we've got at home. We've got healing plants similar to these. I figured it would be enough to add healing charms to what we've got here. I'm interested in seeing what happens when the charms reach the roots and grow out from there.

If that could work, it might help a lot of people here. Standard healing magic doesn't fit everything, nor does everyone have it.

[A wistful look.]

I wish I could help. None of the magic I know is related to altering plants. Unless...maybe the earth spirit knows something about that?

[There's a sudden sternness to his eyes as she brings up the subject of filial magic.] If it's all the same to you, I'd rather leave those spirits out of this, Terra. There's something about this place that can't be trusted. I'm still figuring out what it might be.

[Terra nods readily enough to his request, curious and a bit confused.]

You think the spirits might have more motivations than helping us? The ones I've met have been friendly, but....

[She trails off, giving this some serious thought.]
