Second Seed; [Action]

[If anyone's traveling in the vicinity of House 26, they might take notice of the little garden that's steadily been popping up outside over the past few weeks. Even if it's just another garden at first glance, today one of the residents is kneeling outside in the dirt attempting to change that. In the midst of a patch of what looks like mundane dasies, the round-faced, slightly dirty Neville is settled, brow furrowed in concentration, as he prods at the flowers with his newly-found wand. He's mumbling fiercely under his breath, presumably to the flowers themselves. Feel free to interrupt, Luceti. He won't bite.]

WONDERFULLY insane. The kind of insane people tell stories about.

[It makes the patch of earth feel like home. Home is desperately needed.] I'm not clear on all the Muggle names for what I'm using, but if all goes well we should have some knotgrass and dittany first and foremost. Maybe spiky bushes to help the house's defenses. I tried transfiguring some mandrake bulbs earlier, but that didn't really go so well...

Richer than the queen insane. It's amazing.

[identity profile] cruxofapotter.livejournal.com 2010-03-22 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
[Exactly. Harry's always wanted a home.] Dittany? That's brilliant! Now we'll be able to have it around if any of us get injured or something. [He's peering down to get a better look at the plants.] They don't have much in the way of magical plants here, do they?

I'm awed. *o*/

[identity profile] nearlychosen.livejournal.com 2010-03-22 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
That's the plan, at least. It's done us a lot of good back at Hogwarts, so why not here? [But he might be exaggerating, since this is DH-Neville with the fairly intense facial scarring he doesn't bother noticing. The dittany probably all goes to the girls who're all touchy about that appearance stuff.] Not really. But that doesn't mean we can't crossbreed our own! It's all photosynthesis in the end, right?

It is positively awesome.

[identity profile] cruxofapotter.livejournal.com 2010-03-22 02:19 pm (UTC)(link)
We've been using it quite a bit on our trip. [Harry has noticed that scarring, but since he knows how it gets when fighting evil, he hasn't really asked.] ... I guess so? I'm not entirely sure how it would work.

Or at least awesomely positive.

[identity profile] nearlychosen.livejournal.com 2010-03-23 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
[Harry's had other things on his mind besides, with all that going completely mental and all.] I think it's a bit like making muggleborns out of plants. [He grins a bit at his own humor.]

The good vs. evil part maybe. The last few books are a whole heap of depressing.

[identity profile] cruxofapotter.livejournal.com 2010-03-23 04:59 am (UTC)(link)
[Yeah, going completely mental will do that. But that joke went right over his head.] ... How do you do that?

Yeah. ...Yeah. :( Hedwig. ;___;

[identity profile] nearlychosen.livejournal.com 2010-03-23 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh, Harry. Try to keep up with the nerdspeak.] Well. You know, breding something magical with something Muggle?

That last book ;_;

[identity profile] cruxofapotter.livejournal.com 2010-03-23 06:44 am (UTC)(link)
[But Hermione usually explains everything!] ... Oh! I see what you mean. We'd have a house surrounded by half-breeds.

Poor everyone. ;__;

[identity profile] nearlychosen.livejournal.com 2010-03-24 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
[Well unfortunately she's not here right now. So congratulations on getting the point without her help!] You got it, Harry! Maybe we can use it to teach Malfoy some tolerance if he's going to be living so close.

/builds memorial?

[identity profile] cruxofapotter.livejournal.com 2010-03-24 06:11 am (UTC)(link)
[Harry Potter and the Sudden Appearance of Brain Cells!] Er... what about clowns? There's this really creepy bloke that comes around sometimes wearing clown make-up.

I don't know if we're got enough room for all THOSE. Maybe a big tablet with some names on it. XD

[identity profile] nearlychosen.livejournal.com 2010-03-24 02:49 pm (UTC)(link)
[They had to grow in sooner or later!] Clowns? ...I can't think of anything that has any anti-creepy properties to it, Harry. What's so wrong about him?

We'll have plenty of room once we kill all the rocks that fell and killed everyone!

[identity profile] cruxofapotter.livejournal.com 2010-03-25 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
[Later. Definitely later.] There's this one guy named Kefka. I haven't seen him too often, but he asked me about my "magical aura" once and then attacked me another time when I was with... [Wait, let's not go there.] ... a friend. This house is plenty warded, but I'd rather keep him away from everyone.

Works for me!

[identity profile] nearlychosen.livejournal.com 2010-03-25 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
What sort of aura could you have? [He squints at Harry, puzzled] I don't see anything. --But what kind of attack was it? Were you all right?

Incoming epic memorial!

[identity profile] cruxofapotter.livejournal.com 2010-03-25 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
Honestly? I have no idea, but he insisted I have one. I just chalked it up to him being mental. He made this sort of hole appear instantly, and I pulled my friend away from it. With Side-Along Apparation it was easy to escape for the time being, but I don't think that's the last we'll see of him.

I will wear my cutest black outfit for the unveiling.

[identity profile] nearlychosen.livejournal.com 2010-03-26 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
That sounds like it was more dangerous than it was mental. Good instincts to Apparate away, though! [Harry always knows how to instinctually perform the flashiest magic with such style~]

Are you thinking of attracting a wizard.

[identity profile] cruxofapotter.livejournal.com 2010-03-26 05:14 am (UTC)(link)
Probably, yeah. Not that I like Apparating away, but I think there needs to be more of a plan for taking him down. It sounds like he's been bothering other people, too. [It was kind of cool, actually! He might've even impressed his then-boyfriend of the week.]

... Maybe.

[identity profile] nearlychosen.livejournal.com 2010-03-26 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
If he's just a pest, then there's not much to be done about it if he's after attention. Do you think he's a legitimate threat? Has anyone been hurt? [Oh Harry let's not think of that. Things are going so well today!]

... Which one?

[identity profile] cruxofapotter.livejournal.com 2010-03-26 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
A few people have been, but there are several bad eggs in this place. He came around the same time that Riddle did, and to be honest, I was more focused on Riddle. [Harry will not comment.]

You know. I don't think it matters. Magic's cool enough to make up for anyone ugly.

[identity profile] nearlychosen.livejournal.com 2010-03-26 06:39 am (UTC)(link)
You were focused then, sure. But didn't you say Riddle's left already? What're you focused on now?

This is very true. But some wizards are just not cool.

[identity profile] cruxofapotter.livejournal.com 2010-03-26 06:47 am (UTC)(link)
[He frowns at that.] I'm just trying to make sense of a lot of things at the moment, I guess. A lot has happened that doesn't really involve me leaping into action.

True. I probably shouldn't run off with Mundungus.

[identity profile] nearlychosen.livejournal.com 2010-03-26 07:10 am (UTC)(link)
[He nods, giving Harry an appraising look for a minute that's quickly squashed beneath a grin.] It's okay! I'm sure you've got a lot of things planned for later on!

Eww, Mundungus. Though I heard Charlie Weasley is still available canonically!

[identity profile] cruxofapotter.livejournal.com 2010-03-26 07:16 am (UTC)(link)
[Harry's a bit skeptical about that appraising look, given that Neville's been so suspicious of him lately. Not that Harry blames him - he has been weird since the experiment - but it does get tiring.] I've got ideas for what to do when I get back, but not exactly a plan for how to get there.

But then you have to worry about dragons burning off your eyebrows :(

[identity profile] nearlychosen.livejournal.com 2010-03-26 07:20 am (UTC)(link)
[Well when Harry gets tired of behaving unnaturally, the suspicious looks will go away.] You're good at figuring things out. I trust you. [...Somewhat.]

But you could fly on one. D:

[identity profile] cruxofapotter.livejournal.com 2010-03-26 07:24 am (UTC)(link)
[Harry is a freak and this might not be possible.] Thanks, Neville. It looks like I've got my work cut out for me.

Or you could try and it could eat you. :|

[identity profile] nearlychosen.livejournal.com 2010-03-26 07:45 am (UTC)(link)
[This does not bode well for the DA.] You know I'm here to help, right Harry? Anything you need, I'll make sure you get it! [Unless that something involves Malfoy.]
