[Now, normally when people get back from a kidnapping, they take time to get themselves to the clinic. At the very least, they stop at home long enough to say "ow" to a roommate and pass out for a few days to sleep off the more personalized experimentation.

Neville's unconcerned with that for the moment, though. He's had worse injuries in his time, and it's not too difficult to get around with an eye swollen shut. Sure, his frame had grown rather thin again, almost as underfed as it had been when he'd first gotten to Luceti, but there were some people out there who would've rather enjoyed something like that. And the bleeding isn't entirely unbearable, just some aggravated scratches best left hidden under his robes anyway. It was nothing he couldn't either endure or treat later, when there was time to deal with lesser matters. At the moment, he's more concerned with making his way to the center of town and sliding into the flower shop. He'll do his best to be unobtrusive around whatever night owls are prowling around Luceti, though he'll probably be more easy to approach in the morning, once he's cleaned himself up a bit. Feel free to poke him whenever, though. Neville's not one to turn down company, welcome or not.]

Only lazy people have servants in the first place. [But that's where he'll stop trolling, because having Draco do the running around saves him from being all hobble-y. He pulls on a set of gloves and regards the two pots critically.] If you've decided this isn't interesting enough for you, now would be the right occasion to slip out.

Watch who you're calling lazy. [But he's just going to hang out and watch, half-examining the pots and half-examining Longbottom himself.] Even if it isn't interesting enough, it's more interesting than what's going on out there.

[He's just slipping into the routine of layering mulch and dirt and letting it soothe away the messiness that happened over the month he'd spent away. Gardening is good for that.] Not much ever does. I take it we're between experiments?

You've just missed two weeks of one. [He's leaning against the wall and just watching him tend to his plants. Draco's never really been one for Herbology, but that's maybe because Mandrakes tend to bite him.] Granger cut all of her hair off. Potter was a ten-year-old. Who knows what the hell happened to Weasley.

[That's just because Mandrakes are innately able to sense arseholes.] ...So people turned into children? I don't very much see the point of all that.

[Probably so. Ruddy plants.] It wasn't just that. People had completely lost their minds. Turning into children, growing older, losing memories, gaining powers, and the singing. Really, I think the point was to not really have a point.

I don't know about all that. I reckon singing might've been a bit of fun.

...Longbottom, what part of randomly bursting into usually terrible-sounding songs sounds fun to you?

[He shrugs, absently tickling one of his Snare's vines close to the root.] Just seems like it might be kind of free.

...I suppose to some people, it may have been. I know I wouldn't have enjoyed it that much.

...Don't you enjoy anything interesting?

Of course I do. What kind of person would I be if I didn't?

Bit, but all we lack are three of the balls and brooms. As far as keeping myself from going mad? [Ew, no, never. Well sorta, but not that he'd ever admit.] Not entirely, no.

It's not like you can very well play Quidditch on the ground. It'd be like that muggle game Dean would go on about. ...Something about a "Ball" -- all Muggle sports have balls in the names for them, I think. [He's mostly rambling for the sake of the noise. He can't very well hold a proper conversation with the flora with Draco in the same room.] ...But if you haven't figured that much out yet, then what is it you do all day?

[To his credit, his face only scrunches up at the use of the words "Muggle sports" a bit.] Are you asking out of curiosity, or because I haven't left yet? [Because no, Draco can never make things easy.]

Well it seems we're going to be stuck with you for a bit longer, doesn't it? I may as well try to figure out if you're a real person under all those layers of Git. [And maybe he's just crazily starved for human companionship and is desperate enough to take what he can get from a Malfoy. But ssh. Don't tell the plants. They'll be jealous.]

So you are. I'm glad you've come to realize this. [Though he shrugs off the Git comment.] I actually do quite a bit around here that you lot don't realize. [Draco Malfoy's much cooler than plants though...except not, but don't tell him that.]

...On second thought, you're really much better to be around when you don't talk. [Oh, Neville will tell him that early and often. :|]

Ouch. I'm so hurt by such a declaration this early on in our semi-civil discussion, Longbottom.

You're welcome to run off to Harry about how awful I've behaved to you. [Malfoy always seemed to be on a perpetual quest for an adult when he felt he couldn't handle himself.] I'm not going back yet so there'll be plenty of time to get your story together.

[He blinks a little.] And what would be the point of that when I could easily take care of you myself right here and now?

The point would be that you couldn't.
