Fifth Seed; [Voice]

Um. Hullo.

Since the weather's started to change, I find it necessary to ask about what's normally done to care for the plantlife here in colder seasons? I've noticed a handful of gardens around the village -- is there a spell to seal the temperature around them? I've been growing a few things that I'd rather not lose...

If not, then this place could probably use a greenhouse before the ground gets too cold to sustain anything.

And, um. I guess that's all. Thanks.

[IT BEHAVES NOW. Usually. Just don't let Draco go exploring at night if you two have a sleepover or something. :|]

Then I'm probably going to have to transplant the whole garden before winter hits. There's no way any of it could survive in the snow.

[But Harry has no control over that. He'd tell Draco don't and then Draco would go charging into it anyway to be contrary. D:]

You can't put any charms on it or anything?

[identity profile] nearlychosen.livejournal.com 2010-09-19 08:27 am (UTC)(link)
[Then Draco deserves the possible strangling. :| That's Darwin doing his thing.]

A warming charm would probably be too intense for them. They need an enclosure.

[But then Harry has to go back to heroic sexual frustration and THIS IS NOT COOL.]

Is there room for it near the house?

[identity profile] nearlychosen.livejournal.com 2010-09-19 09:02 am (UTC)(link)
[Is sexual frustration a Muggle disease?]

I don't think any of us have the skills we'd need to build something sturdy enough. But people are usually willing to chat about anything over the journals, right? Maybe one of them know something we don't.

[identity profile] cruxofapotter.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
[Something like that. Wizards caught onto it and made it worse.]

With the magic being dampened, maybe not, but people are willing to talk about that kind of thing. Some people around here can be really helpful.

[identity profile] nearlychosen.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
So I'm finding out. It's strange to talk to so many people like this.

[identity profile] nearlychosen.livejournal.com 2010-09-21 07:38 am (UTC)(link)
Right. ...You're absolutely positive it's safe, right?

[identity profile] cruxofapotter.livejournal.com 2010-09-21 04:25 pm (UTC)(link)
There's a chance you might get one of the villains talking to you, but I trust you can sort that out.

[identity profile] nearlychosen.livejournal.com 2010-09-21 07:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I think so too. [Except for that one villain who's also his Luceti-BFF and who occasionally hangs out at DA meetings. Oops about that one.]

[identity profile] cruxofapotter.livejournal.com 2010-09-23 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
We should be almost experts at it by now. [One of these days that might get sorted. Maybe.]

[identity profile] nearlychosen.livejournal.com 2010-09-23 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
[He lets out a light chuckle at that.] Who needs a sneakoscope with you three around?

[identity profile] cruxofapotter.livejournal.com 2010-09-24 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
[Harry chuckles too. Good one, Neville!] We attract all kinds of trouble.

[identity profile] nearlychosen.livejournal.com 2010-09-24 06:41 am (UTC)(link)
[WELL IT'S TRUE.] If they ever set up an auror team round here, I can't think of anyone better suited for it.

[identity profile] cruxofapotter.livejournal.com 2010-09-26 04:29 pm (UTC)(link)
[SO VERY TRUE. But Harry finds this amusing and that's probably a sign of insanity.] There are a couple of different defense groups, but I don't think any of them are like the Aurors.

I read about them in Hermione's notes.. They're rather medieval, aren't they?
